Michael was elected as 9th District Vice President in April 2021, served as Colorado Professional Fire Fighters (CPFF) President from 2017 to 2012, served as CPFF Secretary/Treasurer from 2012 to 2017 and CPFF Trustee from 2004 to 2012. Michael also served as President of West Metro Fire Fighters Local 1309 from 2005 to 2018 and Secretary/Treasurer from 1998 to 2005. Michael was hired by West Metro Fire Rescue in 1987, serving as a Paramedic/Firefighter from 1987 until 2000 and promoted to Lieutenant/Paramedic in 2001, currently assigned to Engine 5 and HAZMAT 5.
