The IAFF Health & Wellness Trust is proud to offer on-site NFPA 1582 and NFPA 1583 physical exams for eligible fire fighters from HWT participating groups. These crucial exams are key to early detection of numerous major diseases before symptoms even arise.
As an IAFF Health & Wellness Trust participating fire department, you have the option to participate in this comprehensive program through our Trust-approved vendor(s).

Life Scan Wellness Centers
The Trust partners with Life Scan Wellness Centers to provide on-site exams. Life Scan works with more than 450 Fire Service, EMS, and Law Enforcement Departments across the country performing thousands of exams every year. All Life Scan Wellness Center clinical team members are experienced in all aspects of Public Safety physicals and the Life Scan Wellness Program, including POST/NFPA 1582, NFPA 1583, OSHA Respiratory Standard, and the WFI Initiatives.
